How Service of Process Pricing Works
Service of process pricing starts with a base (starting) price that applies only under specific conditions (for example, standard service, an urban location, and documents under 50 pages).
The final price varies based on three factors:
Service level
- Standard service
- Rush service (adds $90)
Number of pages
- Up to 49 pages: no additional charge
- 50–99 pages: + $10
- 100–249 pages: + $25
- 250–499 pages: + $50
- 500–999 pages: + $100
- 1,000+ pages: + $150
Service location
- Pricing varies by zone based on distance and rurality
- There are 15 zones
- Most addresses fall into Zone 1 (no additional charge), but this varies
Because of these variables, the final price must be calculated for each order.

Why Prices Vary
Service of process requires travel, coordination, and compliance with local rules. Prices vary to reflect:
- Distance and accessibility of the service location
- Time required to complete service
- Document volume
- Urgency of the request
This ensures fair pricing while maintaining high-quality, compliant service nationwide.
If Service Is Not Completed
If service cannot be completed:
- All attempts are reviewed for quality
- Additional steps may be recommended if appropriate
- In some cases, a complimentary skip trace may be performed if the address appears invalid
- Charges apply only when diligent service efforts are made and documented.
