Adding attorneys to your account to eFile in San Francisco

Connecting your One Legal account to multiple FSX accounts

Effective June 3, 2024, the San Francisco County Superior Court will use File & ServeXpress (FSX) as its eFiling manager system. Read the news release issued by the court>>

To eFile in San Francisco using One Legal, your firm's One Legal account must be connected to an FSX account. For a step-by-step guide to complete the first-time setup, please refer to Connecting your account to eFile in San Francisco.

In this article, we will assume that your One Legal account is already connected to an FSX account and that you're able to begin the eFiling workflow. When you reach the Order Information page, if the Attorney of Record does not appear in the Attorney dropdown list, you'll have two options to choose from: Add an Attorney or Connect an Existing Attorney.

Add an Attorney

Select this option if the Attorney of Record is not already associated with any other FSX account.

Enter the attorney's name, bar number, state, and email address, and complete the remaining fields in this step of the filing workflow.

The attorney will be permanently added to your account and will appear in the dropdown list on all future orders.

Connect an Existing Attorney

Attorney bar numbers can only be associated with one FSX account. If the attorney's bar number is already associated with a different FSX account than the one that your One Legal account is connected to, you'll need to select Connect an Existing Attorney.

This will open an FSX modal where you can enter the username and password of the FSX account and click Sign in

The attorney (along with any other attorneys on this FSX account) will now be listed in the Attorney dropdown list in One Legal for all future filings.

FSX sign in troubleshooting

If you do not have the FSX account login credentials, you may be able to use the username and password recovery options in the FSX login modal.

Please note, you will need access to the email address tied to the FSX account to recover the account username and to complete the password reset.

Quick tip: FSX usernames are not email addresses. A username is automatically generated by FSX when the user first creates the account and typically follows the naming convention: Lastname, Firstname

If the username and password recovery options fail, please contact the One Legal Support Team
