In Los Angeles Superior Court, you can submit the initiating document and fee waiver application together in the same transaction. Both the complaint or the petition will be processed at the same time as the fee waiver application.
When making a first appearance on a case, you have the opportunity to indicate that you are exempt from filing fees. You can select that you are exempt due to a fee waiver of because you are representing a government agency.
If you have selected fee waiver, the system will then prompt you to upload the fee wavier document.
