What does the status of my order mean?

Your eFiling and Physical filing orders submitted through One Legal will go through a variety of statuses from submission to completion.  Below is some information for the various statuses you may see for your order.

Note:  An order may not have all of the statuses displayed below, status is dependent on what occurs with each discrete filing.

Status Meaning
eFiling:
Cancelled: No Charges There was an issue processing your order and the order was cancelled by our support team.  If this occurred, an email will be sent to the filer alerting them of the issue.
Complete:  Accepted by Court The order was successfully submitted to the court, the clerk has reviewed your filing and has accepted it.  Necessary documents will have been returned to your One Legal account*.
In Progress The order has been submitted to the court and it is currently under court review.  Once the court fully reviews the order, they will process it accordingly and will send it back to your One Legal account with it being accepted, partially rejected, or rejected.
Rejected by Court Your eFiling order has been rejected by the court.  The clerk generally will provide feedback and guidance on why your document was rejected which you can act on to re-file.
Rejected by Court:  Partial Rejection

One or more of your documents was accepted and one or more of your documents was rejected by the court.  The clerk will generally provide feedback and guidance on why your document(s) was rejected which you can act on to re-file.

Note:  When re-filing, If the partially rejected order was your case initiation, you would re-file a subsequent filing (using the court case number generated in the partially rejected filing).  Also, the documents that were accepted do not need to be re-filed, as they are already a part of your case.

Physical Filing:
Cancelled: No Charges There was an issue processing your order and the order was cancelled by our support team.  If this occurred, an email will always be sent to the filer alerting them of the issue.
Cancelled: With Charges There was an issue processing your order and the order was cancelled by our support team.  If this occurred, an email will always be sent to the filer alerting them of the issue.  The charges incurred will likely be linked to the effort to deliver your order to the court.
Complete:  Accepted by Court The order was successfully submitted to the court.
In Progress Documents have been received by One Legal and the order is being worked on.  Progress may change to In Transit to Court once the order is dispatched and received by our contractors.
Rejected by Court Your physically filed order has been rejected by the court.

*The court will not return conformed documents that require judicial signature (e.g., Judgements, Orders, Writs) or documents related to an upcoming hearing (e.g., Motions, Proposed Orders).  Physically filed documents may get stamped as received, but documents filed electronically will not be returned to your One Legal account, usually.  The court will either email those documents to you and in some cases return them via USPS.
